One thing that is clear is that a better plan and execution of said plan would
have alleviated many of the issues that are now cropping up.

There was plenty of warning and time to get this right.

"Sean G. Kaufman, who oversaw infection control at Emory University Hospital while it treated Dr. Kent Brantly and Nancy Writebol, the first two American Ebola patients, called the earlier C.D.C. guidelines “absolutely irresponsible and dead wrong.”

Speaking by phone from Liberia, where he was training workers for Samaritan’s Purse, the medical charity that Dr. Brantly and Ms. Writebol worked for, Mr. Kaufman said he had warned the agency as recently as a week ago that its guidelines were lax.

“They kind of blew me off,” he said. “I’m happy to see they’re changing them, but it’s late.

Not if your only choice is to approve someone who will make it worse through incompetence.

Sounds like whoever is approved would have a heckuva job ahead of them.

What ever happened to Ray Rice, Ukraine, and ISIS stories? Have those issues
    all been resolved.

If enough people got the flu, then yes, it could hurt the economy. 5,000 flu cases around the country wouldn't do a thing. 5,000 cases in a city of 50,000 would shut the city down.

Exactly. Which is why it's important to get it right.

Has Jennifer Aniston found happiness with her latest beau? (I hope not so she's still available when I become rich.)

Yeah, he's clearly taking this seriously.

The storming of our Consulate in Benghazi, and the murder of our Ambassador, Christopher Stevens, didn't cause him to cancel a fundraising trip to Las Vegas.

And, the beheading of James "Jim" Foley didn't cause him to cancel his golf game.

    This is unprecedented.

    How tough for him!
You know, he -could- make this all very simple and just walk away to his SoCal castle.
Nobody begged Barry to run for president last term, and he sure doesn't look enthused.
We could just hand him his lunch, his golf bag and he could be on his way to happiness.
While someone else contends with the thornier matters of the people's business.
