    Who is panicking?

    Honestly, who is panicking?

I keep reading complaints about people panicking. But I see very little actual panic.

    Are we just anticipating panic?

Until this week, what "screening" was happening at US airports?

And, BTW, with all of the urgency involved, it did take a week for any additional screening to take place in Chicago, and the other airports outside of NYC metro.

They didn't war game this. They didn't drill for this.

The Dallas hospital clearly didn't drill for an Ebola patient walking through their door.

  3. Besides the media, primarily the 24-hour news networks and Drudge?

    I agree. Nobody.

And, btw, if Ebola is most dangerous in third world countries that have a poor medical infrastructure, then isn't our biggest fear an Ebola outbreak in Mexico (or Guatemala or El Salvador)?

What do we do if Ebola shows up in the third world country we share a border with?

People on the Hartsdale train platform this morning seemed much more concerned about the stock market sell-off.

Someone is going to write a really good book about this: the Republican-driven panic that just didn't take.

    Hell, maybe I'll write it.

Maybe 3D Bag should volunteer for that passenger rescue job. :)

    Not panicking.

I think the folks who closed the schools in Cleveland are panicking. I think Syracuse University is panicking.

It's either a real threat that needs to be taken seriously or it's not.

And, instead of security theater (that's so stupid, NBC's Chief Medical Corespondent and her crew went out for takeout, because they know it's theater), I'd rather we take real steps.

This is granny getting a pat down at the airport while the guy in the bin Laden t-shirt cruises through the security line at the airport.

And, it is about politics. It's about race. And, it's about immigration and open borders.

If they were heavy hitters, they'd be boarding Metro-North in Greenwich, Scarsdale, or Bronxville. (Or they'd be in a chauffeured car, or heading to a trading desk in Greenwich or Stanford.)

Hartsdale commuters? Just a bunch of 9-5 gossips.
