C'mon Dick. Your own wife is afraid of Ebola. If a single American dies as a result of this guy bringing it here, worry will go up.

And, the place where "panic" may really manifest itself is among healthcare workers.

I wouldn't want to be accused of starting a political thread.

"Klain will report to both White House homeland security adviser Lisa Monaco and National Security Advisor Susan Rice, according to a White House official."

Always good to have more than one Chief to report to

Shame there's not a Surgeon General to unify the chain of command.

Thankfully, we have someone like Klain, who's a skilled Doctor, and an Ebola expert, available to lead the team.

If it stops this runaway virus that is killing so many Americans, then it will have been the right choice, regardless.

I don't blame anyone who is freaking out over Ebola even though 99.999999 percent of the time it's not warranted.

The networks are covering it like an outbreak is near. People who don't know what complete bullshit the nightly news has become may be taking it at face value. You can see the looks of disgust on the anchors' faces when they actually have a rational person on who is downplaying the need to panic.

Ebola has claimed the life of one Strawman; others likely to follow:

I'm also shocked to learn that he airline industry's top lobbyist doesn't want to see international travel shut down.

Agreed. Highly regarded. I believe that he was chief of surgery at Hopkins for a time.

    Good lord.

27,000 Americans died of polio in 1947, on the heels of a four-term American president who was stricken by the disease.

Call me crazy, but I think DW was engaging in a bit of rhetoric there.
