Yeah. That proves their non-sexually suggestive defense.

Apologies. I also failed to mention that beneath the headline, running in the middle of this column was a very similar photo to the controversial one that run on the front page. Only it actually was censored, with a black box covering the area in question, with a quote, I believe from the streaker himself, within said box.

I would almost/maybe probably be okay with this art. If this is on the front, nobody gets fired...I don't think.

Does the school own the school paper? How does that work? If this guy was on any daily in the country and ran that photo he would have been canned too. The guy is there specifically to prevent this kind of scenario.

    Isn't he?

Does he have the ability to kill an issue? If he advised, but didn't, then he loses his job. If he advised, and they did it anyway, then I am not sure he is in the wrong here.

Edit: Also, if the paper had any guts it would run the photo again uncensored with the story why the guy got fired. Would love to see that prior restraint case go to court.

He can't stop it from running. That's illegal.

These student-journalists apparently thought it was a good idea to put a cock in full glory on the front page of the paper.

Given those beliefs and that decision they made, would you come to the conclusion that Isom has done a good job of advising them or a poor job of advising them?

I could see ECU saying they are not firing him for this one particular photo, but it's a clear sign that these students are not learning anything from him.

Are you serious? What's he supposed to do? Advising is a hands-off thing. Was he supposed to say, "Hey! No dong shots EVAAAAA!"?

How many people on here are still saying he didn't tell them to run the photos four pages after someone said the girls offered three versions of edited photos and he said it wasn't necessary to edit it at all?

Yes, I'm serious. I would expect him, as an instructor and an adviser, to have taught (and advised) this group LONG before the photos came in that running cock shots in the paper is not a good thing.

If he didn't do that (and apparently he didn't), then he deserves to lose his job as an ineffective instructor and adviser.

    Now answer my question:
