They'll have to try to do better . . . as they grow older . . . and that secondary remains shitty beyond compare . . . and Brady's no kid.

    The wheel turns.

You're right, my bad on that. But the Giants still were 9-7 and played in the wildcard round.

Hey, they won the championship and they deserved it. Clearly they were a much better team than they played for much of the season. But they were still 9-7. Hardly an all-time great season.

On December 18th, the Giants got their ass kicked by the lowly Redskins--their 5th loss in 6 games--to put their record at 7-7. Could anybody have imagined then that this team would win the Super Bowl?

These last two Giants Super Bowls don't exactly make a strong case for the importance of the regular season. Lesson: just find a way to squeeze into the playoffs, and then anything can happen from there.

. . . especially if you're not healthy through Week 15 . . . then are able to bring virtually all the walking wounded back in decent playing shape. Makes a huge difference.

in both of the GIANTS last 2 Super Bowls they beat the best teams to get to the title. This year they beat both #1 seeds ( Green Bay and NE) and a #2 seed. Last time they beat the Packers and Favre in Green Bay and the 18-0 Pats. The Giants made the playoffs and beat the best teams week after week.

There's a reason the Giants and Eli win while Vick and Romo can't. HEART.

Conveniently timed health and a knack for finding great pass rushers?

It doesn't matter what time of the season it happens, it's all part of a season, and it counts. Games, not Pythagoras, determine a champion.

that may be true but also Vinatieri w.o Pats 1 championship. not saying they win another with him, but it seems he gets overlooked when many want to fellate Brady and Belichick. they are a great team but just as easily as they could've won one or both against the Giants they could've lost 1 or 2 of the 3 they won w.o Vinatieri.

I don't think heart is why Romo isn't winning. He is the least of the problems in Dallas.

His career numbers say he is an above average kicker.

And he's a fucking kicker. Just stop.
