    The company is now privately owned. A private company isn't even required to have a board of directors. So it's not so much that he "fired" them. He dissolved the board of directors. When it was publicly owned, it was required to have that board, and the members of that board were chosen (voted on) by the old shareholders. Even if Musk wants an independent board to bring an outside perspective to the company, the people on that board would be the people he wants now, not directors chosen under its old ownership structure. Him dissolving the old board isn't something crazy. It's to be expected.

    Curious as to which social platform these folks fleeing Twitter will go. Not Parler, not Truth... back to Facebook? Off social media in full?

    Someone will round up some VC and launch an alternative. Matter of time.

    For now, it seems like Insta is the place to be. I have an account, but never use it.
