Come on Inky. We're soccer fanboys. We should be used to this by now.

I'd like to know(seriously) if any of those teams ever had only 400 show up for a game(because the average attendance for those teams was not even close to that number).

No, Chuck, they haven't. But what's going on in Miami right now is not at all indicative of the overall health of baseball. MLB baseball's undeniably doing very poorly in Florida, but its doing better than ever in other places. But the NBA, all around, is clearly heading the wrong direction nearly everywhere--in attendance, ratings, and image.

Everyone in attendance was a vendor.

Perhaps the Marlins should just start beating on each other in at the end of the opening game of a double header. ...

Where's Scott Olsen when you need him?

In 06-07, NBA had the highest average attendance and highest total attendance in league history.

P.S. Some of the stuff you say is true, but what really makes me laugh is how they said there was 10,000 people at the game. All this after I was told by some people over here that the NBA is the only league that lies about their attendance.

Now, they might have sold 10,000 tickets, but . . .

The same time they played 81 home dates outdoors in the summer.

No one can be as dense as some of the people on this board, I swear.

That's exactly what it did almost every day I was in Panama City Beach on vacation. The rain didn't last long at all.
