If we canned every sports journo who was unprofessional, it would make for a pretty long list.
Counting an athlete you cover as a "friend."
Flirting or making sexually suggestive remarks about a female or male athlete you cover.
    Endorsing products/ accepting gifts.
I can think of 10 prominent journos who are guilty of at least one of these.

And on the subject of Erin, I hope she has something else lined up. Anyone know what Jill Arrington is up to?

Did you know she's Dakota Fanning's aunt? Maybe she's just living off crumbs from her niece.

She's apparently doing some acting these days.

Nah. I heard that from my brother's cousin's friend.

She seems to be typecast as an attractive reporter.

    That's often just as accurate.

  9. Ridiculous. Erin knows her shit and puts a lot of work into what she does. But let's paint every non-repulsive female in the sports media realm with the bimbo brush, eh?

That's actually a pretty good column from Mariotti.

I'm trying to come up with the most successful former sideline reporter, and while I'll give Jim Lampley his due, I can't think of a close second unless you consider Matt Lauer's stint with ESPN in the 80s a stepping stone.
