What about that Yankees pitcher who crashed into the building last year?

    Josh Hancock?

Or for that matter Daryl Kile.

You would have the rotation of

    Hancock
    Kile
    Lidle

What about Ken Caminiti as power hitting 3B?

Yes, it was. But you forgot one crucial element:

    Manager: Miller Huggins

    Indeed, Big Ragu.

I watched that game all alone in my house. For years I always wondered how that pitch would affect him. When he killed himself it made me sad for a few weeks. Had the world in his hand one second, and the next second, his life was shattered, forever.

Why not? Let's throw him in there. We have to fill out the roster.

Only difference between Donnie Moore and Tom Niedenfuer is that Niedenfuer is still alive.

Oh, what about Tim Crews and the other 2 Indians were were killed in the boating accident?

Do you mean those minor leaguers?

Wasn't it just one other? Didn't Ojeda survive? Or was it Crews, Olin and someone else?

I believe Caminiti was already retired when he had his heart attack, so doesn't meet the "before his time" criteria.
