To repeat, it's up to either bowl or school officials to clear the way for the rights-holder. If I'm on deadline, allowed on the field, and I'm the first one to get to a coach, with no sideline reporter in sight, I'm getting what I need and the hell with the WWL.

Yeah ... but this particular person wasn't media, per se. She was one of the bowl director's assistants.

And yet, she was running quotes for the media. So Roweboat shoved 30 people on deadline by extension...

You're right. He doesn't know. But people who know me know that I would. Fuck I care about the WWL? Again, if they're so insistent on getting that worthless 10 seconds after the end of the game, have production assistants, team media relations people, bowl media relations people, anyone ready to go and facilitate it. If they don't, it ain't my fault and I'm going in. This bullshit about the game was tight, they didn't know who would win until the final play, etc. is just that, bullshit. If you're the WWL, you should be able to get it done. If you can't, don't be elbowing people who are ready to ask a question or two on deadline.

You do know the subject line is wrong, that she didn't shove a reporter, right?

Yeah... "Innocent, unsuspecting media assistant" works much better here.

I'm just highly entertained by how worked up people are about this, and I'd be willing to bet almost all of them would have done the same thing if they were the sideline reporter seconds away from dead air.

Holly did take care of it, though, didn't she? And no, I don't know you but I know the type. All hat, no cattle.
