For some of the small-time papers it might also be the quickest, easiest (and perhaps only) way to catch your hometown guy.
We sent someone to a bowl game last year. One of our locals had a highlight-type play that was a huge moment for him, but was pretty insignificant in the larger story of the game. There's probably a .00001 percent chance he's being brought into the interview room, even if we ask for him. Our guy caught him on the field, talked for a couple minutes, and that was that. We got a nice hometown story out of it that made our trip worthwhile.

The difference between Holly Rowe and Jenn Brown is that Brown actually has brain.

That, and let's face it. Brown's HOT!

Rowe is not well liked by most media when she's at a game. I've heard she has supposedly pushed photographers out of her way and yelled at people disturbing her work at games. I've never seen her actually seen her do anything at games I've covered when she's been their sideline reporter.

I covered the Sugar Bowl last season and she was also the sideline at that game. I recall other reporters saying she shoved away recorders during ESPN's interview then.

Has she said anything in the aftermath?

ESPN must have missed this one on You Tube- Holly bopping an Iowa fan with her mic

ESPN is going to end up in a lawsuit if she keeps this up.

Most interior linemen don't have feet that quick.

    SFIND:

So you don't like Rowe because she's not hot enough and is rumored to get mad at people who disrupt her work?

Your coworkers must be so lucky.

Sounds pretty petty and childish IMO.
