I didn't misquote you. In fact I copied and pasted your ridiculous quote about Rob Parker's sincerity.

"even if his . . ." is the relevant qualifier. Which you cut.

Do you think Parker was being sincere?

    Neither do I.

There's a columnist in Central Jersey, same color and last name as this columnist, who does uses the same ol' schtick about The Blackness of Black and what it's all supposed to mean. It was dumb the first time I edited his column like it was the 900th time I edited his column.

Is Black Authenticity still a thing? Really?

Considering our President has had to deal with the same charge, I'd say it is still a thing:

New York Times profiles Newark Mayor Cory Booker today. What do you suppose led to folks "suspicion" about him when he first moved to Newark?

The Brother / Cornball question has also hurt Harold Ford's political aspirations.

I did a lot of interviews with Trentonians after they elected Tony Mack mayor. What did so many of them say?

"We finally have a REAL black mayor" yadda yadda.

Keeping in mind that Doug Palmer, who Mack succeeded, is black and served as mayor for 20 years.

If you haven't kept up with Tony Mack's travails lately, just Google him.

Did anyone post these yet? Apologies if I'm repeating but I didn't see them ... Rob takes to Twitter:

    Rob Parker ‏@RobParkerESPN
“@RobertALoblaw: @RobParkerESPN Good luck in your next line of work!” Typical silly response. Watch me on First Take tomorrow and Sat.#pleze

    Rob Parker ‏@RobParkerESPN
“@nomorevinny: I'm curious how @RobParkerESPN thinks RG3 should act to "be more black".” Bet u didn't even see show. Typical and uneducated
