I've lurked for over a year, and been a member since the end of July, and you all lost me with this one.

    VB.

PS. You left out 69. But I don't think that fits the fibbo-nazi-SportsJournalists.com sequence.

It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key.

Besides the obvious New York/Boston/LA bias, ESPN treats the NBA like it's the fucking national pastime. Look, we get you have the contract to show games. Look, we get that you have hard-ons for LeBron. But for God's sake, stop making Sportscenter 55 minutes of NBA highlights in a 60-minute show.

Guys, guys, guys. Drip ***IS FRIENDS*** with Rob Parker. The rest of us, you know, just have been colleagues for years or maybe traded a few words at the coke machine at various sporting events. We gotta back up and show some respect, it's not like we had his AOL address or ever texted! If we read and reacted to his publicly, professional opionions without knowing what kind of friend he is, we'd be just as stupid and ill-informed as the other millions of people who are offended.

Like Drip says, it's totally, totally cool. We just don't know what we're doing when we express an opinion about ol' Rob's professional opinions. What he says on TV is so totally not what he's about or what he's into or what he believes. It's all good.

Well, there's always hockey ... oh yeah. But it'll be just as bad in the summer, since the Eastern SportsCenter can dote on the Red Sox and Yankees andthte Western one can dote on the Dodgers and Angels.

True enough, HanSen. I used to think Sportscenter was completely tilted toward the NBA, even during baseball seaon, but I've looked at those Deadspin stats and seen equal sports coverage.

Doesn't mean an obvious bias exists, of course... ;)

Five years after "Who's NOW?!" I still can't call anything else "rock bottom" for ESPN.

You need to get your facts straight. I have not supported anything that Rob said. In fact, I said he made a big mistake.

Where does John Smallwood fall on your hierarchy of friends?

I don't have a hierarchy of friends. Why would ask such a simple-minded question?
