ESPN considering move from NYC Seaport studios and closure of LA broadcast facility.

Don't know if its been posted before - but it looks like ESPN has "cancelled" its Sportscenter LA and rebranded it Sportscenter At Night (guessing produced in Bristol). Its weird because they had Linda Cohn out in LA after Neil Everett left/quit/retired seemingly to say "we're still committed to LA." And also weird, because it isn't like Disney/ABC doesn't have plenty of other production space in the LA area.

Also looks like Get Up will Get Up and go elsewhere to join the rest of Disney/ABC/ESPN production at Hudson Square in NYC.

It really can't be understated how much of an impact the middling performance of its recent blockbusters has been to Disney's bottom line. They wouldn't have had to pay one more dime for those productions if they were hits and would have reaped hundreds of millions of dollars more in film revenue, licensing (toys)

Besides Aikman, who's on a different level, he's their highest paid guy I think.

Based on output or dollars per on-air minute - Smith is a bargain. He's a modern day Howard Cosell - he can talk about anything - and a few things authoritatively.

Uh, no. Cosell with all his faults could speak authoritatively on some issues.

Smith has an entertaining presence on camera but he just babbles.

I think SVP might be making more than Screamin' A.

I read, I think in the New York Post, that SVP is at six million, while Smith is at eight plus a four million a year production contract. Herbstreit was at about eight from ESPN. Herbstreit could make an argument he should make more than Smith, given the properties he works on.
