Are there people lining up to say otherwise?

"The Mandalorian" was the fifth most-streamed program the week of March 20-26, according to figures released Thursday by Nielsen.

ESPN is still profitable. I think the company has determined that periodic layoffs are a way to get rid of reshaping the organization. It is easier to announce layoffs as part of another restructuring rather than individually firing people. If 50 people go out the door the same day then the departure does not seem as personal.

In the past corporations tended to show more loyalty and keep people around. As a result they frequently got overstaffed and bureaucratic. Now people are more likely to get fired as part of a lay-off.

I can always take solace in the fact that Clay Travis will die alone.

Clay Travis traffics in being an asshole and white-male faux outrage. I can’t image celebrating someone losing their job.

What do you suggest be done to make it less ugly and stupid?

Burning social media to the ground would be a good start, followed eliminating this embrace of anti-intellectualism.

How likely is it that social media will be burnt to the ground?
