What the fuck is the point of this post? You already posted that it doesn't look good. Was this one just to announce that you know the guy? Congrats.

From the comments section of that article:

Michael Holley is a respected black columnist for the Boston Globe, an author, and an afternoon sports talk host on WEEI. This is his quote on Mondays show talking about his meeting with Mr. Bryant just before Mr. Bryant left the Boston Herald for ESPN.

"This is a guy (Bryant) who was critical of me (Holley) that I should have brought up race more often, whether as a columnist at the Boston Globe or while on the radio. He just can't help himself!" said Holley on his sports talk show. "This is a guy who sees race in every corner. He brings it up when it's not necessary, and uses it as a crutch."

Interesting coming from a fellow black journalist...

  4. I am shocked - SHOCKED! - that this does not match up with Bryant and his attorney's account of the situation. Simply shocking.

His wife was informed that she had the right to remain silent, and she elected to utilize that right. I would have, as well, even if I was completely innocent. Her "dodging" means nothing.

Even before the police came, Bryant could feel people staring at him on Main Street, Eisenberg said.

Maybe because he was beating up his wife in front of his six-year old.

What sticks with me is the resisting arrest. That's what makes me think that he was so mad that something might have happened.

Or mad because nothing happened. I think it can cut either way.

I don't know... I've seen some people acting as crazy as you can imagine and it's turned off the second the cops get there. The fact that he couldn't (or didn't) dial it back when they arrived bothers me...

  11. The wife was also advised she was not facing any charges.

Didn't work out so well for D'Angelo, did it?

I don't know the guy... but I have to say, I'm a little uncomfortable that people on this site are so quick to decide this has to be a racist cop and five racist witnesses... because people on this site know and like the guy. It this were an athlete or a writer people didn't like, we'd have ten pages of gleeful prison rape jokes.
