It is the height of unintentional hilarity to see Boom play the victim card.

And Boom, my shot wasn't the first shot.

Chris Jones took the brunt of the first shot.

So, like GB said, you playing the victim is pretty hilarious.

I consider both Boom and Jones 'internet' friends.

Maybe it's time for me to move along..

That would be funny in most instances.

Even your wit goes limp on this one.

You may need plastic surgery on that.

This reminds me of a story.

Best friend in elementary school, about a million years ago, broke up with his girlfriend via folded-up, 8-1/2x11, loose-leaf-paper note. We must have been in fourth or fifth grade. It was classic.

Now, the hilarity ensued when our teacher saw the note being passed. Her policy was steadfast. Whomever wrote the note must head to the front of the room and read the note.

    So he did.

    "Dear Katie,
I am breaking up with you.
    Sincerely yours, Darren.
    PS: You're a c**t."

I will never forget it as long as I live.

DD, I'm not going to call you a c**t. But I'm going to call you Katie from here on out.

My board experience has been greater since Boom got the "ignore." It became lesser knowing that Jones and JMac no longer frequent the board. Though I'm not in newspapers I'm still in the business of telling stories, and there probably aren't two better storytellers than those two, thus I'll sit at their feet and listen to whatever the hell they have to say about the craft. Any awards those two men get are deserved.

Everybody here needs to take a step back and remember why we're here in the first place. If you're bothered by the lionization of a couple of the more talented writers out there, goddamnit, tell us specifically what rubs you the wrong way and start (or continue) a discussion. Otherwise, have a steaming, hot cup of STFU and make yourself better.

That'd work here, Serve -- if Boom were a journalist.

But, per usual, that's a big part of the problem, too.
