I have seen all but two games of this Euro 2008 tourney and there has been some great, exciting soccer being played. Some great finishes, players and teams on display.

Somewhow, a USA-Barbados CONCACAF qualifier doesn't measure up.

I can't believe Turkey's goalkeeper. What a fucking moron. While I'd like to see Turkey win again, I'd laugh if Turkey loses on some soft goal allowed by the No. 2 GK.

    Idiot.

I agree. What a stupid move. I just laughed though when I saw Koller drop to the ground and roll around a couple of times like he was shot or something serious. He was just pushed and he's a huge guy falling to the ground that easily. But players are taught to act like that when they get retaliated against like the GK did.

Barbados needs to quit soccer. Down 8-0 to the US men? Yikes.

I mean Clint Dempsey scores 54 seconds in.

About the only drama was Gooch getting a yellow when he and a similarly-built guy from Barbados go after it early in the first half.

Guess the U.S. could lose next week over there and still have the goal differential?

Correct. Could actually lose 9-1, 10-2, etc. and go through on away goals.

That's EXACTLY the type of high-scoring, exciting game that will get Americans to embrace soccer! [/idiots]

I think I could probably pick a couple of kids on my youth team I coach and a couple of guys on my adult team I play on and we could beat Barbados. They sucked. Nothing like watching the Euro tourney and then changing it to watch the US game. It doesn't even compare.

And just think ... Barbados won their first-round matchup with Dominica.

It's stupid that the USA has to play in this round.
