Doesn't matter how you take him down. Grab his ankle, pull his jersey, whatever.

I thought it was a monumentally stupid move, as the keeper was rushing the ball and there was very little opportunity to score.

What on Earth was Ribery thinking? He lost his mind there. He wasn't near to making a play, the other guy was of no great danger. Why get hurt on a shrieking gamble like that?

I thought it was just a regular foul. You see fouls all the time just for the sake of fouling someone. Players don't anticipate getting injured when they foul someone. It was just bad luck for Ribery that he was stumbling and planted his left foot wrong. It sucked to see him go because he looked in a lot of pain and he is a good player who was making a difference early in the game.

Russia vs. Sweden game is ready to begin. I think Russia is going to win. I just think that they have a better attacking side than Sweden. But Sweden is a tough, physical team that does not make many mistakes. So I think it is going to be a good game. It has a lot on the line -- winner move on to the knockout stage against the Netherlands, the loser go home.

Seems like a lot of people are going with Russia, but I think I'll give the edge to Sweden. He hasn't been all that healthy, but Zlatan has played well anyways. Russia just don't have anyone like him in their side, but getting Arshavin back helps.

Sweden only needs a draw. I see them being able to at least get that. Russia is good, but they aren't that good.

And the games are on ESPN and ESPN2, so I can flip back and forth at work!

Well, I'm dead fucking wrong on Russia. They are playing so much better than Sweden that it isn't even close.

I have up ESPN 360. On one monitor I have Spain, on a second I have Sweden and on the third I have work, sort of.

Russia has been spot on here, but still oodles of time left, and a draw is good enough for Sweden.

OK, maybe we covered this and I've forgotten ... on the Nike ad with the POV shot from the player's perspective, what club is he playing for when Arsene Wegner is scouting him?

No idea, but you'd imagine since he ends up playing for Holland that it's some kind of Dutch non-league/third division team.

I mean, since he ends up playing for Arsenal, there's no way he's English.
