I see Portugal taking this one. Of course, I have been wrong for most of the tournament. So, who knows.

I just can't see a way for Germany to overcome the best player in the world.

CRon will be beaten senseless today by Germany. I think he'll be more effective as a decoy than anything.

So I'm rooting for OT in today's match.

I'm aking Portugal, but nervously. Once you get to the knockout stages, anything can, and generally does.

If Germany is smart, they will bombard the Portugal penalty area with crosses. Portugal's GK Ricardo looks very dodgy in the air.

    Crap. I forgot my username/password and I don't remember which e-mail address I used.

EDIT: Ha, ha! I got it.

Let's go Croatia, Portugal, Spain and Holland!

Smyth is in the studio. This could be good news for the play-by-play.

That's a good point I didn't think of. Ricardo is really shaky on crosses. That could be a big aspect of the game. But I'll still take Portugal. I think Christiano Ronaldo is going to get beaten up in this game. Germany will play him real physical.

This is going to be great. I would like to add I love the fact that they stay with the stadium for the national anthems. Can't wait for this to get going.

Julie Foudy was MIA in the pregame. Has she been booted for the knockout rounds?
