Ballack did give a nice push on his goal. It should have been called. It was pretty blatant in the replay. But the officials don't get the advantage of the replays so it is a tough call for them there.

Croatia and Turkey today. I look for a rejuvenated Turkey to play well, jump out early but Croatia win 3-1 with one goal being of the Peter Cech-soft variety.

I think Croatia will beat Turkey 2-1.

This has been pretty entertaining so far. Good start by the Turks, but from the feel I get Croatia is probably going to get the opening goal and win it.

Croatia has really squandered some chances the past few minutes.

The Croats should be up about 4-0 right now. Sooooooo many missed chances.

That's true, but the anguish on Slaven Bilic's face has been worth it. I want that guy managing in the Premier League so we can see this level of agony and ecstasy every week.

The Turks have become chippier and nastier.

It looks like Turkey is just content with trying to get the game to PK's. Croatia has been the better team, but they haven't put one in the back of the net.

I honestly think Turkey's looking the brighter right now, and I wouldn't want to face Rustu in a shootout with the way he's played so far.

The Croats may need a goal in the second half of extra time.

This first overtime period, Turkey has looked better than they have all game. I mispoke about them too quickly.
