Spain outplayed Germany through most of the game. Spain deserved to win this tournament. They were the best and most consistent team throught the tourney. They finally didn't underachieve in big tournaments.

Congrats to the former choking dogs of European soccer. They outplayed the Germans in ever facet of the game.

 

Unfortunately, if we're talking underacheivers, look no further than England.

For this tourney, Portugal and the Netherlands are the candidates.

 

Now that my buzz has worn off ...

I tip my hat to the Spaniards; they were the better team. But DAMN I thought for sure Germany was going to equalize in the final minutes.

Ballack's calf had to have been a factor; he was non-existent today. Second place again. I was rooting for him as much as the team.

 

Not caring who won, I was hoping for much more of a game. Other than one five minute stretch, Germany couldn't seem to put much of anything together.

I took second, with Inky third.

 

I'm quite proud. And I have no explanation for finishing in the top 2%.

 

Well you're obviously European or South American. I mean, Americans know nothing about soccer in comparison to us. [crossthreading]

 

I never dreamed that Bend It Like Del_B_Vista would finish safely out of the relegation zone. I'm ecstatic!
