Stay tuned for that. I may have something up my sleeve for next season.

I agree with that. I think England and the Netherlands are one and two for the two biggest underachievers overall.

Those of you who did the Soccernet Fantasy game, how did you end up? I had 196 points and was 7,355th overall ... not bad considering I was in the high five-digit range for most of the group stage.

As for the Pick 'Em, I'll take fifth (Euro Vase, here I come!). Again, the group stage killed me something fierce.

How in blue hell did I finish third? I only got one semi correct and then the final.

Anyway, entertaining match today. The entire tournament was top notch. I'm tempted to say it was more entertaining than the last World Cup.

Much more entertaining than Germany '06. Minimal cannon fodder, attacking play was rewarded, much less diving and/or whining, exciting finishes and no England -- what's not to like? :D

The heck with Euro Pick 'em.
How about some props for Twoback for winning the SportsJournalists.com Euro fantasy tournament?
Do I have to do it myself?

I assume that I finished last in that pick 'em league. I got more than half of them wrong. Oh well. It was fun.

It was a great tournament, overall. I was pulling for the Germans, but the Spanish won out. It was damn impressive.

Haven't contributed anything to this thread previously, but I will admit I watched part of the Croatia-Turkey game (it was actually very exciting at times), and Little Man and I watched the finals yesterday. Little Man's interest was waning until Spain scored the goal and the crowd began that great "Ole'" chant, which is also featured on an air soccer game we have at home.

Good stuff, and it was great seeing Spain win.

The Euro tourney was way better than the 06 World Cup. The games had much more offense and entertaining play. The Euros had a lot more dramatic endings and great goals. I don't think it's even close.

Congrats to Ronaldino Mcdonald on his Euro Pick 'em victory. Maybe I could have contended if I had remembered to pick the games before the knockout rounds. :(

Also, during the final I was thinking how nice it would be if CONMEBOL got their act together and put on a decent Copa America. Second-rate teams and players taking summer vacations have turned what should be a great tournament into blech. Too bad.
