I've seen shit in journalism - affairs, groping, hovering, sex jokes, etc.

The walking around naked thing needs some context for me, I guess. As did the Louis CK thing. I'd never heard of a man in any workplace I've been asking to jack off in front of a woman. Likewise, walking around naked in front of assistants is odd for a journalist.

 

This is what I mean, too, I think. I know inappropriateness goes on. But the weird brazenness of a lot of these tales has taken me aback a bit.

I was off at a conference this weekend, and made my presentation Sunday to my usual packed* audience. It was the last scheduled session of the day. Among the throng of* spectators was an unusually attractive woman. Mid-30s, I’d guess, pretty, fit, immaculately dressed. Given news developments of late, I couldn’t help but wonder how much shit she’s had to put up with over the years.
