And what would lead any of you to go to that trouble?

What the hell is wrong with you people that don't think this is a serious issue? I can't believe this thread is still alive. "Oh he just stole someone else's stuff, that's OK." It's called doing your fucking job, doing it right, and maintaining the trust that the public has in you to deliver FACTS. Jesus tap-dancing Christ, this still pisses me off.

I'm sorry, Carl, I just have enough trouble keeping my own house in order to get my stomach bunched up about someone else's egregious error.

You can use the google to whip up a column. That should save you a boatload of time.

Why ... are you saying I'm a plagiarism candidate because I don't think this guy deserves the wrath of this entire board rained down upon him?

Now THAT'S funny. Not at all fair to Shotglass, but still funny.

    More like a plagiarism sympathizer.

Hey, I've seen guys fired for misuse of a company phone card, when many, many people made more long distance calls from their desks.

That doesn't seem fair. Still got fired.

And it's doesn't compare to plagiarism, which is pretty near as bad as it gets in this business.

OK, I can live with that. I'm a plagiarism sympathizer. A little sympathy is refreshing around here.

I'm as laid back a guy as they come, shotglass, but I find your nonchalance in this matter completely sickening. It's our duty to be outraged. It gives our entire line of work a bad name. The guy deserves every iota of criticism that he's received. If more people sported your attitude, then stuff like this would happen more often, and whatever credibility we have left as journalists would go down the toilet. I don't see what is possible to sympathize with here. There are some things that are just inexcusable to do.

Yeah, Shotty, I've gotta say that I'm a little surprised as well.

There are some rules you just don't break.

Now, if HenryHenry will just chime in again we can get this circle going fullbore again.
