Agreed. So cops are opening fire on innocent people based on a mere suspicion that it might possibly be who they're looking for? Unbelievable. This part should be a huge story on its own, even without all the other craziness.

Well the LA school district has its own police force and they haven't shot anybody. I guess they're better trained than the LAPD.

I thought this was an interesting read. The LAPD is corrupt as fuck. Maybe he's crazy. Probably he's crazy. But he certainly seemed to be a good cop for a long time. A good cop surrounded by a lot of bad cops. And he wasn't afraid to turn in the bad cops.

If the US uses drones to kill him with no arrest and no trial, I'm going to be a lot more suspicious.

LEO drones don't carry armament. Surveillance only.

Border Patrol says drones aren't being used, contrary to widespread reports. Some British paper I've never heard of, the Daily Express, seems to be the originator of that story.

And, as one law enforcement source put it, the video is significant because "it shows what he was up to."

Thank you for that brilliant deductive reasoning, Detective.

And, I think it's funny that folks think only cops -- with all of their training -- should be allowed to have guns.

Whether it's this case, or the Midtown Manhattan/Empire State Building shooting, cops have fared no better than average citizens in discharging their weapons.

Also, the Federal Government employs armed security at any number of facilities. And, it's not always Federal Law Enforcement, but your average rent-a-cop.

For example, an FDA lab in Washington State:

We need stricter laws for SCUBA gear.

I saw yesterday they had a potential accomplice -- "JY" -- who had a family connection to a home up there.

TV stations say he's in a white pickup truck and cops are looking for him in the Big Bear area.
