    I would think this approach is something USA Today might try to do if it could figure out a viable financial model. A local edition of USA Today, done right, could be a pretty interesting paper.

    When they first announced ESPNChicago.com it took you to the home page for the ESPN Radio affiliate there. Same thing for ESPNBoston.com, ESPNNewYork.com, Dallas and Denver. I'd imagine those are the markets they plan to try next. I didn't try every city in the U.S., L.A., Philly and Detroit didn't work.
