She only killed four soldiers! It's not the Traitors' Hall of Very Good, dammit!

    Sure.

My turn: Are there elements of design in nature that point to a designer, and not random acts?

I would posit that the fact that there's something instead of nothing points to a designer, yes.

Remember: I'm not an atheist. Some of the bigger holly rollers here think I am. But I'm not.

Benedict Arnold was a shoo-in despite his lack of success late in his career.

But how does this designer feel about abortion?

    I know. And I don't deny evolution.

Some people believe that the universe began with the Big Bang ... Others believe it began only after the cosmic inflation was complete (when the universe as we know it was viable). But I will note that the universe's birth certificate doesn't list a birthdate that's earlier than the Planck Epoch. So any abortion between time zero and time 10^-43 seconds would, I think, have been OK.

I am trying to catch up today, and it's been a real WTF moment reading this thread backwards from most recent. I saw evolution, abortion, Hiss, Commies, (throw in a little Baron defending someone else), and I was wildly thinking - backward time travel within sj.com threads could make your head explode.

    So... It's dq's fault.
