Makes the statement made by Boston Police Chief look bad then.

Does the NY Post actually have reporters on the ground in Boston?

Watching video of the explosions and the immediate aftermath and I'm struck by how many people are wearing backpacks or carrying bags of some kind.

Any road race -- even a 5K -- you get a lot of people who are holding bags for runners. No doubt, someone walking through with a backpack would likely arouse no suspicion whatsoever.

Pretty common for marathoners to give their family/friends a bag with a change of clothes and shoes for after the race.

@Boston_Police on NY Post: ""Honestly, I don't know where they're getting their information from."

Wasn't there someone of Middle Eastern descent in custody right after OKC, as well?

I know. Was just thinking how much worse this could have been if one of the backpacks had a bomb in it.

BPD now says incident at JFK Library was "fire related." So apparently not related to whatever is going on here. Which makes sense, really, given that it was not in a public area.

Richard Jewell says "Hi" to everybody rushing to place blame for this event.

I'm going to guess this Saudi in custody's name, when translated into English, is pronounced "Richard Jewell".
