Wolf was my direct inspiration to find WBZ on my TuneIn app. Damn good job by them and their TV namesakes too.

If the feds have to talk to everybody they see on video with a backpack, the investigation could never end. Almost every other person in the crowd at that particular time is carrying the belongings of a runner in some kind of package, sack or whatever.

The CBS Radio affiliates in our area were rebroadcasting WBZ as well. I'm convinced, every time, I automatically tune in to CNN during crises, they have become so sold out to political coverage they can't cover anything without making it red state v. blue state.

CNN just reported doctors are pulling ball bearings out of wounds.

I wish the TV news networks were a little more discriminating about what videos they show. I'm talking about ones where someone is running around with a camera and all you see is ground or sky with the occasional face. I know they want to get different vantage points, but it does no good when the camera is pointed at the tops of buildings or extreme closeups of flags. CNN was airing a video where the first 15-20 seconds were actually useful to tell the story, but the next 1:30-2 minutes looked like outtakes from Cloverfield.

CNN is also reporting that a Homeland Security official confirmed to them that a person of interest was in custody and being questioned.

EDIT: And John King now says that his sources are saying a number of persons of interest have been questioned but there are no suspects in custody.

If Chris Matthews keeps telling us that he worked for Tip O'Neal we'll be able to turn it into a drinking game.

So what sort of radius would a bomb like that have? A couple hundred yards? Or less?

Place must have been densely packed for that many people to have sustained injuries.

26th mile was dedicated to Newtown.

I hate watching cable news when stuff like this happens. A bunch of people talking out of their ass. They don't know anything, so they say things that they know (whether they are relevant to the discussion or not).

Putting my own speculating hat on, I'm guessing domestic terrorism. If it was foreign, whomever was responsible probably would have already taken "credit."
