Saw the following post in a comment on a friend of mine's Facebook post. How do you respond to these asshole?

"Remember our ancestors, and the religeon of the people who tortured and murdered our family members. I will not be surprised if this is a related nationality. Like 9/11."

Well, we could wait until we see the motivation before going there. We certainly don't have to, but I'd find that preferable, personally.

    Presser coming up.
If there is a foreign nation in custody, so be it. But until word of that is true becomes official, I'd still tend to believe home-grown crazy. This just doesn't seem like the handiwork of "terrorist" types.

Sounds plausible. A bunch of them were seen running away from everyone else a good two hours before this happened.

Hate to go all CNN on you here and make with the baseless, crackpot theories, but if it is foreign terrorism is it possible it's the North Koreans? Today was supposed to be a big day for them. Maybe they went with ball bearings in garbage cans instead of warheads in missiles.
Again, absolutely no foundation to base that on. Just pondering out loud.

It's still terrorism. So was Newtown, and Aurora, and Columbine, and Timothy McVeigh, etc.

Yes, this was terrorism. But what worldly good does it do to speculate who was responsible, home-grown white guy or Saudi national, until we know the truth? Like the Texas Prosecutor thread...no one knows what happened yet, so trying to score political points while the blood is still flowing and the amputated limbs are still twitching is quite sickening. I hope Peter King loses his job for his performance on The O'Reilly Factor, and I am a Republican. Now is not the time.

I never said it wasn't "terrorism."
How about "It doesn't have the signature of Muslim extremists" ... does that suit you better?

I didn't know they had a particular "signature." I guess you can rule them out.

Do you not even understand what I am trying to say? This is an outstanding place to gain information when something like this happens...which is why I think most people are here. It is also a terrible place for the political fangs to come out, which leads to important, informative threads being locked. Can we please just let things play out?

Well, "terrorism" is a precise term that doesn't apply to every instance of mass violence.

Why was Peter King on O'Reilly anyway? I hate the hashtag detractors often give on Twitter, but perhaps he should #sticktosports
