Some of these "sources" are about as reliable as the ones on the football coaching carousel.

Let me just say I don't have a clue who did it or why. I suppose we'll find that out soon enough. Lots of possibilities.

Ben, it was an old Hawaii Five-O reference.

Can someone tell me why every tragedy must have a conspiracy theory? 9/11, Newtown, now this? That's what Jones is postulating, right? A conspiracy.

I know...I wanted to throw that out there before one of the ultra-clever posters did.

Some of these people will use every --- and I do mean EVERY --- incident to promote their political agenda.

    OK, then so will I.......

We should immediately ban all foot races, car races, horse races, bicycle races, camel races, etc. Too many people in tight proximity encourages these sort of things.

You would have to ban all public sporting events of all kinds. With exception, of course, to Cleveland Indians home games. 11K last night at Progressive Field.

Yes, Alex Jones sees a government conspiracy behind everything. If it rains when the weatherman said it would be sunny? Government conspiracy!

There is a 3-prong test for a “terrorist attack”

    1) violent act

    2) violence was directed at civilians

    3) political motive

Per former CIA counterterrorism expert, Robert Grenier (2004 – 2006)

“#3 remains to be revealed – until we know that there is a political motive involved and what that political motive is, it’s not correct to call it a “terrorist act – as things stand now, it’s a horrific, violent act – this is patriots’ day, one wonders if there is not a right wing component to this, people who feel oppressed by the government now choosing the celebration of the effort to overthrow the bonds of oppression to make a point having to do with domestic politics in the US – there is speculation that one of the injured individuals in the hospital may have been the perpetrator”

There are three types of people who perpetrate these acts

    1) ideologically motivated/religiously motivated/or hybrid

    2) sociopath or someone who has cognitive impairment

    3) personal benefit or revenge

Do you agree with him or would you like to point out how inappropriate his statement is at this time?

The "We need to fill airtime and don't have anything left new to tell you, so let's speculate on some things" part of 24/7 news networks' coverage of breaking news absolutely sucks.

Amen, Inky. I feel bad for the obviously shaken local TV newsers who were there to do the annual happytalk Marathon features and having been working the horror beat for about the last six hours. They're doing the best they can, but there's nothing they have left to say. A relief corps should come on.
