Explosion at Boston Marathon finish line

MSNBC talking to a reporter who is in the Marathon press room. Pretty good interview.

Report from a Boston hospital quoted on Fox states 10 amputations or "limbs blown off."

Watching the video of the explosion just short of the finish line, you can see one older runner in the middle of the street just knocked down by the force of the blast.

 

With the path this country has taken in the last 10 years, this should not surprise anyone.

Is this the first terrorist attack, if we can call it that, at a major sporting event in the United States since 1996?

 

Or even when the Red Sox game ended.

 

It might be a lot harder to pull off at the start of the race or some things might have not gone as planned.

 

What year did that kid blow himself up outside Owen Field in Norman?

 

Boston PD has tweeted two dead, 22 injured. Will certainly be lots of conflicting reports, and it sounds as though many of the injuries are quite serious.

Video out there now shows both explosions. Looks like they were on the same side of the street but the second one was a block farther up the street from the finish line.
