Explosion at Boston Marathon finish line

There was a fire at the JFK Library at roughly the same time as the explosions but it's not related to the marathon explosions according to a library official.

The Globe is reporting the Boston PD is getting reports of "unexploded devices" all over town now.

 

Actually, TSP beat him to it.

 

He had the page number right, though.

 

Many of which are doubtless false alarms, as is always the case. But of course, one can't be too careful.

The reports of further devices near the scene of the initial explosions does give rise to the question of whether those were planned to go off later as the emergency responders flooded to the scene.

 

Pat Forde just tweeted that a friend of his crossed the finish line about three minutes before the first explosion.

NYPost is claiming the police have a suspect at one of the hospitals.

"Authorities have a identified a suspect, who is currently being guarded in a Boston hospital with shrapnel wounds."
