I agree with everything Pierce has written.

But give me a break. This is some kind of brilliant, unique take on the situation, that we needed Pierce to deliver.

90% of conservatives believe the same thing. We just don't think we're brilliant for thinking it.

Pierce's gift isn't thinking things previously unthought. It's how he writes what he thinks.

And yet Pierce overwrites what anyone of us might have said.

Greatest, fairest trial ever? Well, gee, McVeigh killed 168 people.

Pierce can't even bring himself to say that the "public safety exception" to Miranda shouldn't be invoked.

He just says it should be "allowed to expire".

Jesus Christ on a fucking pogo stick Charlie. We all know you think it's b.s it was even invoked in the first place.

Why are you acting like you're ok with it?

Pulled this off the FBI website
    http://www.fbi.gov/stats-services/publications/law-enforcement-bulletin/february2011/legal_digest
"According to the Supreme Court, the public safety exception is triggered when police officers have an objectively reasonable need to protect the police or the public from immediate danger."

My question is when the exception lapses. Figure if days pass before a suspect is capable of speaking, the exception due to "immediate danger" has been proven moot. Or does the exception only attach when the suspect is capable of communicating?

Haven't you been told many many times to think before posting? This is the third time on this page alone that you're hoping it will be televised. We get it. Stop trolling and try to add something meaningful or leave us all alone.

Yet, a Democratic president has allowed Gitmo to remain open and the prisoners held without a trial -- despite campaigning on the promise that he would close it.

"Russian authorities warned the FBI in early 2011 that suspected bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev may have been a follower of “radical Islam,” a revelation that raised new questions in Congress on Saturday about whether the Boston Marathon attacks that killed three and wounded more than 170 could have been prevented."

Does the story mention how many people are labeled as following "radical Islam" in the Boston area? You would also need to include NYC and I-95 corridor, ending at DC, to a get a scope of possibilities the FBI was dealing with. Also, we had no idea this was "radical Islam" until the perps were found. So bring in the usual list of crazies that the FBI would have been investigating. If this was a "Pro-Life" nut that set the bomb, YF would be yapping about why the FBI had not found him or her sooner because he was spoken to by the FBI two years ago. If this was a "Tea Bagger" that set the bomb, YF would be yapping about why the FBI had not found him or her sooner because he was spoken to by the FBI two years ago. If this was an autistic kid with mommy issues that set the bomb, YF would be yapping about why the FBI had not found him or her sooner because he was spoken to by the FBI two years ago.

BarstoolSports has an alleged photo of the brother in the hospital. Wouldn't be a shock if it was legit; the site is huge in New England and Portnoy has enough followers that he's going to run for mayor. I enjoy the site because its funny, but he did a hell of a job updating his twitter during the ordeal the other night.

If there was a "Pro-Life" nut or "Tea Bagger" in the Boston area that the FBI had been warned about, of course he should have been checked out in the aftermath of the bombing -- especially if he resembled one of the bombers.

Why is this hard, or controversial to to say?
