What misgivings do you have about the way Sept 11th was handled?

    Um, tons.

Guys taking flight lessons who didn't care about learning how to land.

Guys who should have never been granted Visas -- have you seen their applications.

    Guys who overstayed their Visa.

The "20th hijacker" who was arrested ahead of time.

Because you do not understand the number of potential bombers the FBI is sorting through to find the two suspects.

But no problems with the way anything was handled after the initial event? But you are so critical here about what the FBI did after the bombing.

What is your point? What the are you trying to say? Rather than just asking a zillion pointless rhetorical questions, just come out and say whatever your point is.

You sound like a three-year-old. "But why?" "But why?" "But why?"

I'm not even sure I know what your point is, but I wish you'd just come out and say it. If you're trying to blame Obama, just fucking do it already. This constant "I'm just saying, I'm just asking" act that you pull is tired and annoying.

Saying YF doesn't understand something is an injustice to his relevance here.

He understands more about the world than 99% of the people here.

His opinions are valid and rather clear-headed.

Where you going with this, 93?

I'm just saying that someone should have known that the temperature of burning jet fuel was hot enough to melt the supporting beams in the twin towers...

    We should blame someone.

How many radical Islamists are there in the Boston area, whom we'd been previously warned about?

It didn't take a genius to suspect radical Islam may have been involved. Along with "Right Wing extremists", radical Islamists were at the top of everyone's list of potential suspects.

Dude, if I thought Obama was to blame, I would have no problem saying it.

Unless there was some sort of order from the top to ignore potential radical Muslims, with ties to terrorism, I don't see how this has anything to do with Obama.

But, it does sound like the FBI dropped the ball here.

I mean, sorry, but when the guy you'd previously been warned about bombs the Boston Marathon, that's a problem. By definition. It just is. There is no reason to deny it, or pretend it isn't true.

And, we're talking about a guy who was not even a citizen.

Yes, they should have followed up with him from time to time.

Who's denying it? Who's saying it isn't true? All people are saying is that it's not as simple as you make it.

You still haven't found a decent answer to the question of "how many people do you think the FBI is 'warned' about every year?" So are you saying they should have prevented it? Or they should have arrested him sooner -- as in, sooner than the three days it took?

Because if it's the latter, what do you want -- a dragnet around everyone the FBI's ever been warned about, within 20 minutes of the bomb going off? Or is the bomber's face supposed to stand out instantly among crowds of thousands to every single FBI agent investigating the bombing, because they talked to him two years ago, when he looked different?

But whatever your point is, why don't you take it to the FBI directly? I'm sure they'll be interested in your theories and revamp their approach. Here, however, you've made your point, repeatedly. We get it.

    No, he does not.

He does not understand journalism and education. It is obvious in his posts that he does not. He pulls shit off of Drudge and posts it here. When people, who have actual experience in the fields correct him, he calls the stupid and questions their intelligence. He has never lived outside of a major metropolitan region, I think, and dismisses the viewpoints of those people who have lived in those regions. Like Boom, he has a hard time understanding the standpoint of people not living in major metropolitan regions, which is about 45% America.

He has a few semesters of college under his belt and started a business about fixing coffee machines. That is what he is an expert in and has knowledge about. When he talks about coffee beans, I listen. Starting a business with less than 50 employees, I listen. Living in Chicago, I listen. But outside of that, his viewpoints are nothing more than most of ours and are from the outside looking in.

I think there might be an outside chance that Xan was speaking in a light shade of blue.
