Anyone got an answer as to how our Chechnyan resident pyrotechnic experts, beset by a welfare existence, afforded those trips to the Motherland?

Tamerlan Tsarnaev's wife worked as a home health aide. Her dad was a doctor who went to an elite boarding school and then to Yale. I kind of think there was some money there.

Tsarnaev had parents and relatives. Dad said he was with him entire time in Russia.

From timeline on Tamerlan:

"Tsarnaev leaves New York for Russia. It's not clear what he did while in Russia, but Tsarnaev's father has said his son was with him at all times."

It's only a thousand bucks or so to go there. Not too hard to come up with, given all the family support available nearby if needed.

 

Anyone have an explanation on why people can blow several thousand bucks a year on Disney trips?

One of stories gaining legs is the unsolved murder of # 1's best friend in 2011. Perhaps a reason for him to go to Russia for 6 months . Get out of Dodge so to speak.
