On Friday afternoon, the Boston-based NPR station reported that 15 officers were treated for injuries. However, I have not heard anything to that effect since.

    T 1 was on Welfare:

Statement on Tsarnaev Brothers Department of Transitional Assistance Status:

“The brothers were not receiving transitional assistance benefits at the time of the incident and have not received any transitional assistance benefits this year. The Tsarnaevs’ parents are former recipients of transitional assistance benefits, and both Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev received benefits through their parents when they were younger. Separately, Tamerlan and his family received benefits until 2012, when the family became ineligible based on their income.”

And, of course, the easiest place to do a drill is during an active event with literally several hundred thousand people milling about. Apparently every person in Boston knew about this drill and is in on it. I guess they need a reason to get the country back on their side since Red Sox Nation is now seen as a bunch of pink hat wearing douchebags.
There's some conspiracy theories that make a shred of sense. You could even ponder whether someone behind the scenes, for whatever reason, was pulling the strings or nudging the Tsarnaevs along. But the idiots who deny it happened just blow my mind.

Actually, Reuters is reporting that T1 WAS on a watch list:

    This changes things.

    They were doing it wrong.

Everyone knows, you always make sure you don't become ineligible.

Don't really see where Boom is going.

At one point T1 was receiving assistance.

Then, perhaps because his wife was working so many hours and bringing in more money, they no longer qualified.

    Which means . . . what?

According to the Washington Post, T2 was unarmed in the boat. Damn finepolice work.

So you're saying you believe the Post over the police who were actually there. Got it.

How many NYPD cops have been demonized for making very similar mistakes?

Maybe Bruce Springsteen can write a song about how many shots were fired.

One more thing I need clarification on: I've read that the younger brother's shitty Honda was recovered at the site of the shootout in Watertown.

Is that correct? And, if it is correct, did they drive two cars there? Or did they drive it, and not the SUV they had stolen?

It wouldn't be write for him to do that. It would be wrong.
