Maybe the FBI should have put a wiretap on him.

    The AP:

    And, maybe "Misha" does exist:

If only the Golden Gloves hadn't changed its rules, this "star boxer" could have realized his "secular dreams" and would have never become a murderous terrorist:

James Tracy also points to conflicting early reports of the bombing and the Sandy Hook shootings as evidence of his theories. He's a communication professor and he seems to have a very poor understanding of the news gathering process.

In fairness, there were never any rumors to come out on Twitter during the Attack on Pearl Harbor or at any point during the Revolutionary War so maybe he's onto something here.

    Fixed that for you.

The problem isn't law enforcement. The problem is the media and a reliance on sources who are not in position to really know what is happening.

Oh dear, why don't we let you tell us all about what Moddy will or will not permit, since obviously none of it applies to you. Troll on.

They crossed a river and didn't happen to notice that they entered another city. Is that so awful?

Good thing the chase wasn't up I-95 in South Florida, where in just 40 minutes they will pass through the following cities.

    Miami
    Miami Gardens
    Pembroke Park
    Hallandale
    Hollywood
    Fort Lauderdale
    Oakland Park
    Pompano Beach
    Deerfield Beach
    Boca Raton

If the criminal happens to make a lift or right turn for a couple of minutes, you can add the following cities to those possibilities:

    Pembroke Pines
    Miramar
    Cooper City
    Davie
    Plantation
    Sunrise
    Lauderhill
    Lauderdale Lakes
    Tamarac
    Margate

So yes, the prospect for an initial report to list the wrong city would seem to be pretty high.

And not at all important, especially when it is corrected quickly.

I think it is when you want to build a case that is irrefutable. Just shoddy work that could have been easily verified. Clearly rushed so that they could do that Miranda thing.

Bear in mind that these authorities were overworked and highly frazzled at the time.
Listening to the scanner that night, they mentioned one dude had been on the manhunt for 20 consecutive hours and needed relief.
