Heard the audio of the fans singing the national anthem at the Bruins game. Sent chills up my spine.

I've heard Roger Ailes talk about FoxNews and their definitions of objectivity, newsreporting and being 'Fair and Balanced'. Basically, their 3:00 and 7:00 programs are straight news. Everything else is entertainment. Hannity, O'Reilly and Greta, the prime time shows are just entertainment. SAme with Piers, he's just entertainment, just not very good entertainment. CNN would get better ratings showing reruns of Merv Griffin and Mike Douglas.

 

Same here. Good on Rene for knowing how to let go of the mic, and let Boston have it.

He could have very easily tried to overpower it.

The Saudi student was cleared and he's still in the hospital with injuries from the bombings.

This "he's getting deported" business is a nifty rumor designed to gin up conspiracy theories.

 

I did lose track of the threads. Apologies.

 

CNN would get better ratings if they dug Merv and Mike up and put them in a chair.

 

Just saw the clip of Yankee Stadium fans singing "Sweet Caroline" and the crowd singing the National Anthem at the Bruins' game and I wonder if we don't over-amaze ourselves at this kind of response. Sure, you'd like to see more of it on a daily basis but are we that shocked that we don't pull together in times of crises?
