Couple highlights from today's NYT coverage:

    * The Times still has a line in one of its A1 pieces that Boston shut down cell phone service to stop further detonations. If that has actually been debunked, it's inexcusable to keep repeating it at this point.

    * Al Qaeda has an "online English-language magazine"? WTF???

LOL. I made my Dick/NYTimes joke on the other thread before seeing this comment.

The previous "publisher" and founder of Inspire was killed in a drone strike in Yemen, so it got a lot of attention at that time.

Hey, keep in mind that I've made plenty of enemies here by criticizing St. Paul Krugman. It's not that I don't agree with a lot of your criticisms of the Times. I just think you shouldn't turn around then and supply the Post with cover.

I've consistently said that the Times is the best and most comprehensive newspaper in America.

And, while they make the occasional factual error (like anyone else), my complaints about them usually are related to bias/message. Too often, the Times wants to lead its readers to a specific conclusion, and they do so by leaving out information that may lead them away from the conclusion the Times would like them to reach.

That's wrong, and its an insult to their readers.

Steven Spielberg was at The Marathon doing a documentary and ended up helping out:

Channel 7 Boston has some interesting photos up of a before and after of 2nd bomb site. The before shows a suspicious package by a mail box and after show it gone and a suspicious man running away while everyone else is kneeling and tending to victims.
(look to right for person in black raincoat)

I'm fairly certain that package is still there in the second photo.

So, the entire Senate received a briefing from the head of the FBI, right?

And, Senator Feinstein is saying this:

Yet, within the last hour, Reuters moved a story with this headline:

Boston bomb probe focuses on bags and pressure cooker

    And this reporting:

    Who's right?

Not the guy on the street. Look to right you see a guy in black raincoat and khaki slacks by a person kneeling in pink. Easier to see if you click on link for larger photo.

Channel 7 claimed the blurred out second photo due to gruesome nature so it's hard to tell if bag is there or not. Have to take their word for it since they've seen undoctored photo.
