My understanding is that he escaped during the shootout, which included only a fraction of the police presence that eventually arrived in Watertown. I think I heard it was only five squad cars to start with. He crashed through the police barricade, soon after ditched the car and fled on foot, hiding whenever he felt the need to. There are many places for a person on foot to hide. Not saying mistakes weren't made along the way, but I have been impressed with the police work to get this done.

I don't even understand what the fuck Beck is talking about. The guy is freakin' lunatic

You've got to think Beck was sitting in his little office today thanking Satan that the bombing suspects are foreigners and (apparently) Muslim. I'd wager he celebrated like he just won the Super Bowl.

I read a transcript to figure it out.

He's saying the Saudi student who was injured, questioned, rumored to be deported, cleared and isn't getting deported actually is getting deported because he was involved in the bombings. And there are people in the government who have given Beck official documents proving that.

The man with the boat, sayeth Fox News, had already had authorities come through and check his house. Hey great job guys. Missed that boat?

It's entirely possible he wasn't conscious. And when cops are involved in a hostage situation, regardless of the circumstances, I think they're covered if they don't Mirandize the guy as they're firing tear gas into a house.
However, I would Mirandize him, on video, as soon as he comes to. Just to satisfy the ACLU nervous nellies.

Hmm, CNN just had the guy's son-in-law on and he didn't mention that. The house is actually a couple of blocks outside the zone they were clearing most of the day, according to local TV.

Ever consider the possibility that the guy wasn't in the boat when they came through the first time?

I'm considering the possibility that the boat wasn't checked.
