Klitschko won the first five rounds handily, though.

But it sounds like he didn't train for a long fight.

Should never have gone that far.

I am sure Mr. Bio will be along shortly to tell us he was carrying the stiff to give people their money's worth.

Vitali and Wladimir are very, very different fighters. Vitali Klitschko has 40 knockouts in 43 wins. This actually is a surprise.

12th Round. Unbelievable. It's like two guys giving one another rough Shiatsu.

Indeed. If the 'net and SportsJournalists.com existed in the 80s the boxing thread would be thriving with discussions about Leonard, Hearns, Hagler, Duran, Holmes, Whitaker, Chavez and of course Tyson and many, many others. The fact that the biggest boxing topics continue to be the piling on on the brothers and the non-fight between Pac and Mayweather speaks volumes about the mess the sport is in.

Boxing certainly isn't as healthy as is could be, and it certainly shoots itself in the foot a lot. It would be much healthier if the two most dominant heavyweights of this era were sports superstars in the US. That said, what was stated in this thread was that no one cares about the Klits. That simply isn't true.

This of course isn't a direct parallel, as the US is fairly insignificant as a soccer market, but the average dude in Bumblefuck, Iowa knows next to nothing about Manchester United. That doesn't mean that no one cares about Manchester United, and it doesn't mean that they aren't (arguably) the most valuable sports franchise on the planet. I'm not comparing The Klits stature to that of Manchester United but you get the point.

It seems that the post fight press conference was more entertaining than the fight, and it ended up with Chisora making death threats towards David Haye. These threats having been precipitated by a press conference brawl involving the two during which Chisora claims that he was bottled. As a result of the brawl, this morning Chisora was arrested at the airport by German police. The police want to speak to Davd Haye as well but they can't find him.

Chris Mannix, of Sports Illustrated, tweeted the following about Chisora last night. He may be right.
