Man, Marco Huck is the most entertaining man in combat sports. I love that guy. He had another wild fight tonight. He was back down at Cruiserweight this evening defending his WBO World Crusierweight title against Ola Afolabi. It was a rematch from a 2009 fight that Huck won by unanimous decision.

Huck makes everyone have knockdown drag out brawls with him. He did again tonight. Afolabi a real good boxer, and for the first four rounds or so he was completing outclassing Huck. He was using his boxing, and looking good. From about the fifth round onwards Huck managed to get Afolabi to engage in a wild knockdown drag out brawl. The twelfth round of tonight's fight was simply incredible. It was like a Rocky movie. It really was. Marco Huck fights sometimes seem like they are right out of a Hollywood movie.

Marco Huck does some many things wrong, but he is great at being Marco Huck and that works.

The fight was scored as a majority draw. I thought Huck should have got the nod, but I can't begrudge Ola a draw. Not after a fight like that.

Went to three "sports bars" in town. None were showing the fight. The mexican restaurant/bar down the street is showing it, but, shocker, there's a line out the door. Must be some kind of celebration today or something.

Guess I'll use alternate methods of finding out who won. By that, I mean, finding out how long it took Mayweather to beat this guy.

Is that really Justin Bieber standing in the middle of the ring hold two of Mayweather's championship belts?

It was a respectable fight, reasonably competitive. The decision was the correct one. Couldn't ask for much more out of this matchup.

Maybe the fight everyone wants will be signed before Money Mayweather goes on vacation, er, to jail.

Carl Froch just beat threw Lucien Bute a beating in Nottingham and stopped him in the fifth round. Bute had staggered back to his corner at the end of rounds three and four.

It reminded me of Calzaghe-Lacy in terms of a much heralded world champion being exposed. Man, Froch just beat the ever loving shit out of him. If it went a few more rounds I could have seen Bute getting seriously hurt, and while I may be prone to hyperbole that is not hyperbole.

Paul Williams was paralyzed in a car accident outside of Atlanta on Sunday. He had been scheduled to fight Canelo Alvarez in September in an attempt to come back from his KO at the hands of Sergio Martinez.

Between Johnny Tapia's death and this accident, it hasn't been a good weekend for boxing.
