Vitali Klitschko, on the other hand, may be on the way out.

Boxing is a sport I'm a fan of, but it's hard to me to stay with it on a continuous basis. I need to do a better job of keeping up.

Guess we'll never see Mayweather/Pacquaio now.

Or maybe now we might....but really is there a fight out there that people actually want to see now?

I don't know. I think there is still interest to see this come off.

They may still fight. But many fewer people will care. And it won't likely be 'the fight that saves boxing.'

Pacquiao's got too many other life options, and he should take them. The very late in the career knockout is a huge signal to stop fighting.

So Mitt Romney went to the fight (good for him!). But he also visited Pacquiao's locker room before the bout. Just hasn't been a good couple of months for him, has it?

I wouldn't read too much into this, big-picturewise. It wasn't a one-sided loss to a schlub no one has heard. It was a one-punch knockout, in a fairly even fight Pacquiao might've had the upper hand in, against a quality opponent he was fighting for the fourth time. He got careless for a moment and got popped. It's a far cry from the type of losses Roy Jones Jr. or Evander Holyfield have had later in their careers.

Gee is right. Pac-Man has been slipping and even Freddie Roach has commented about his training. It might be time to call it a career.

It's been a rough year for Freddie Roach, between Pacquiao's two (OK, one in reality) losses, Amir Kahn's loss to Danny Garcia and Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr.'s loss to Sergio Martinez.
