    I know this is a pet peeve for some of you. And, I've had it explained to me very nicely, which I truly appreciated.

    TV news, all of it, has the same business model. Present stories designed to frighten old people (the only people watching) so much they won't go outdoors, and hence will watch more TV. It's no surprise TV news outlets jumped at this story before checking. It's a dream tale for them.

    It's not that. I'm just saying it's unnecessary to correct me every time I write it.

    I get that it's not an acronym. But, as a brand/marketing guy, I'm predisposed to writing it the way they write it.

    I know it's not AP style, but I come at it with a different mindset. That's all.
