I have Bell in my money league, so I hope you're right. But that's the most complete offense in the NFL, and I doubt they want to overwork Bell in his first game. I'd be shocked if he gets more than 20 touches.

On one hand, Bridgewater has -1 point.

On the other, Roethslisberger has 1.

    This. Don't overthink things.

And I would like a pat on the back for slotting in Devonta Freeman in both of my leagues. MONEY!

And my Arizona defense, predicted to score 9 v. the Niners, has 26 so far thanks to 2 pick-6's.

I started both Redskins running backs, figuring they'd equal out to at least one good game. Considering my other backs (Bernard, the Arizona Johnsons and Alfred Blue, who I dropped to pick up an IDP player) are a steaming pile of mediocrity, I figured it was at least a worthy gamble.
    Ugh.
Chris Johnson already has two touchdowns in a blowout, which means David Johnson is going to finally get a lot of work in the second half. Blue had 139 yards and a touchdown. Bernard didn't do so hot, but still had more than both Redskins runners combined.
Sometimes, this thing we love so dearly just enjoys kicking our ass.

Ok, in a tough spot. Roethlisberger was my only QB in a 14 team league. If no one drops a QB after the games this week, I'm looking at the following free agents: Josh McCown, Kirk Cousins, Jameis Winston, Ryan Mallett, Brandon Weeden, Michael Vick, or Jimmy Clausen (not sure the ETA on Cutler). I'd rather go after a FA than trade for someone, especially if Big Ben will be back in a few weeks. Thoughts (other than, "oh, you're so fucked")?

Tyrod isn't out there? That's who I'm targeting in an attempt to put out the dumpster fire that is my roster.

Winston is the only one of those I would even consider. And I'd take him over Tyrod. That game today was a fluke. I think Cutler's is only a couple of weeks. No way on McCown. He won't be starting three weeks from now. Cousins and Mallett could be serviceable I suppose. Not sure what to expect from them. Winston looked very good today, if not for half a dozen dropped passes by Mike Evans, which I hope was just rust.

There's a guy who's holding RGIII (which is more because the guy is an idiot than anything else...). People have three QBs.

I'm targeting Winston too. I was thinking of trying a trade for Mariota (Karlos Williams was my bait), but Mariota has a bye next week so it doesn't do me much good.

That would seem like a good trade for both sides, so that sucks. I'd go with Winston, then. He's got lots of big targets, and he looks pretty sharp.

If Ben is out for the year, I'll try the trade.

Winston is probably the best bet out of that bunch. There's a non-zero chance Mallett turns into something. I doubt Vick has anything left, but he's got weapons there. He could be serviceable, fantasy-wise. God, throw in Ben and that's such an unlikable group of players.

I'm in the same boat, with no backup to Ben. Guys available in my league, in my current order of preference, are below. Is there anyone else I should be targeting?

    Taylor
    Carr
    A. Smith
    Fitzpatrick
    Flacco
    Bortles
    Foles
    Mallett
    Cousins
    Weeden
    McCown A
    McCown B
    Clausen

Long-term, Cutler and Manziel are also available, but I can't start them this week, so I'm likely to need somebody off the first list. I'd feel a whole lot better with one of the first four than any of the others. And Tyrod seems like a clear #1. Unless there's great news on Ben between now and Wednesday, I'm going to throw about half my remaining FAAB at him.
