I generally laugh at teams that can't overcome injuries, but I've been just crushed by them this year. That, coupled with several players getting off to crappy starts, and I've only won two games (out of 10 in two leagues). I'm 0-5 in the league where I'm defending champion. This has been the most frustrating fantasy year for me since I started playing in 2005.

Well, I'm still not sure Brees is that much of an upgrade over Manning and it's not like I can play both of them and I couldn't cut one, so I'd basically be stuck. Brees would be a great bye week fill-in but that's about it. I'm not as mad at myself as if I'd missed a chance to add a starting WR.
I'm getting killed by some bad luck and a bad draft. My picks in rounds 2, 3 and 4 were Megatron, Manning and Alfred Morris. So far, that's been a big old 0-for-3.

I went Brown, Murray, Graham, Cooks, Romo (a couple rounds later) in one draft. I'm 1-4.

    Lacy, Hilton, Roethlisberger, Stewart. So...yeah.

I also lost Bryant in two other leagues. I'm 1-4 in one, but 5-0 in the other. I also lost Romo in another league, but drafting Palmer late has saved me.

Cobb, Hilton, Brees and Julio Jones, Abdullah, Brees. 2-for-6, but somehow I'm 4-1 in one league and 3-2 in the other (mostly because I have Devonta Freeman in one and Julio Jones in the other).

Picking 1st in a 12 team league, I went AP, Morris, Yeldon, Marshall, Gurley and V. Jackson with my first 6 picks. A mixed bag and the Morris pick has been a killer. Hopefully, Gurley and my two late round selections of M. Bryant and Cruz will get me going before it's too late.

I just looked at my draft again. I didn't do any research before hand, but this looks like a drunken chimp threw darts at the keyboard:
    1. Gronk (Picking No. 7, targeted and got him, no complaints)
    2. Megatron (Made even more disappointing when I see that the next two picks were Julio Jones and A.J. Green)
    3. Peyton Manning (Underwhelming so far, but justifiable at Pick No. 31)
    4. Alfred Morris (Here we go ...)
    5. J.J. Watt (It's an IDP league)
    6. Joique Bell (It's like I kicked the drunken chimp in the balls)
    7. Alfred Blue (Chasing RBs like a fat kid chasing a beach ball on a windy day)
    8. Steve Smith Sr. (Was a great value pick until he got hurt)
    9. Luke Kuechly (It's an IDP league where tackles are a point apiece; he would've been on par with a starting RB if he hadn't gotten hurt)
    10. Terrence Williams (Should have been a good No. 3 receiver until they replaced Romo with Shemp and Larry)
    11. Antonio Gates (Still love this pick, but didn't get to use him until I was staring down the barrel of 1-4)
    12. Giovani Bernard (Holy shit, two sneaky good picks in a row!)
    13. Eric Weddle (Three in a row!)
    14. Malcom Floyd (That's more like it ...)
    15. Chandler Catanzaro (When the kicker is one of the highlights of your draft, that's not good, right?)
    16. Knile Davis (Has already been dropped and re-added to my roster, and is about to be dropped again soon)
    17. Dwayne Bowe (Perhaps the perfect Mr. Irrelevent is a washed-up player who can't see the field for the Browns)

I've done a fair job on the waiver wire, getting Dion Lewis, Charles Clay, and this week West and John Brown. But I've already cut literally half the team I drafted. I completely whiffed on rounds 2-10. Not sure I've ever had a worse draft that I've recognized this early in the season.

Lost Bryant and McCoy, who might have been my top two picks. And I actually drafted Devonta Freeman, so I might really have something here without those injuries. Sigh.
EDIT: Actually Nos. 2 and 3. Peterson was my first pick.

Am I crazy to consider starting Ryan Mathews over Jonathan Stewart this week? Stewart has a greater share of the carries, but he hasn't done anything this year, and he's playing the Seahawks. Philly plays the Giants, who are roughly average against the run.

EDIT: I can also play Moncrief in that slot, but I'm already starting Hilton.

Giants are ranked second against the rush, allowing just 80 ypg. Other than the Jets game, Mathews is averaging about 5 rushes per game. Seahawks are first against the run, but at least Stewart will get the touches to have a chance.

CJ Anderson or Lamar Miller? CJ vs. Cleveland (but splitting), Miller with a new coach...Seems like everyone is right down the middle. Leaning Miller.
