But in Week 10? Not easy to find a decent QB if the guy you drafted sucks.

    I disagree, somewhat.
In one league, I took Luck early. I'm in dead last (drafting Graham and Dez didn't help)
In my college league, I got hammerfaced drunk, all of a sudden the eighth round was here and I didn't have a QB. Took Cam, then followed with Rivers. I'm in third, but with injuries and the such, have the best team.
In my nerd dynasty league, we get four keepers - I kept Brady (along with Andre Johnson and Frank Gore - I thought they were going to be huge this year in that offense. Whoops. I ended up taking Edelman in the first round and Jordy Nelson with my extra pick) and he's pretty much carried me to third, as well as some terrific draft choices.
So basically, I went big on QB and it hurt my depth. Waited on one and it helped me build depth. Kept one because I had no choice and it worked out.
A good QB is more likely to carry you than a good RB and the difference in ppg between the Top 3 QBs and the No. 12 guys is usually far more than the Top 3 RBs and the No. 12 guy.
I think the most important position is WR because random guys don't consistently score. You might find one or two sleepers, but the top 3 WRs in my league outscore the No. 12 guy by more than the RBs at the same spots do.
Of course, with all this "thinking," I've found the best philosophy is just drafting guys you like to watch play. Which is why I say Fuck Blake Bortles.

Sat McCoy on Thursday figuring Karlos would get more touches and Shady's shoulder thought was suspect. Nope. 23 some points in our PPR league. Hopefully Starks and Langford have decent games.

Got Starks and Langford going, but thinking West over Hurns and James Jones in the flex. Sigh

Kirk Cousins -- or rather, the New Orleans defense -- is making me look like a genius.

Peyton Manning really hurt my teams -- I have the Denver kicker on all three. I also have Demaryius Thomas on one.

Welp, sat Barnidge for Graham because of Manziel. Damnit. But, did start Langford and West in the flex instead. Should win this week.

I missed my projected total by 25 points and lost to a previously winless team by 8 points. I fell from 6th to 8th overall and would have been at least 4th if I won this week. I hate this crap.

For once, my decisions pretty much all turned to gold -- especially at QB. Went 3-0.

I was the same way. If all my guys just played to their projections, I would have won by 5. Instead, I lost by 12 and dropped from 4th to 6th. That's the team I just acquired Devonta Freeman with, so hopefully he can help turn things around for me.

I squeaked out a win by .63 in another league. We were damn near tied heading into last night and I had Marvin Jones going, while he had Eifert. Fortunately, the Bengals just sucked all the around, so I held on for the win to move to 8-2 and tied for first (technically in second because of total points).

I scored half a point over my projected total. I had been favored by seven points.

My opponent, meanwhile, scored 44 points above his projected total.

I did well. I look like a genius grabbing people like Hurns, West, Langford, and Barnidge off of the waiver wire through the season.

I have some disgruntled people in my league - mainly a few who play draft kings every day - who want the league to go to a points system rather head-to-head next year. I personally like h2h because it gives some meaning to Sunday and Monday night games. There will be one person in the league who is sitting dead last who has scored the fourth most points. I'm in second, but have scored the sixth most points. I have the tie breaker setup via h2h as well - that was default with NFL fantasy. I like the h2h because you sort of manage against the person you're playing against, even though your players on the team are facing an arbitrary opponent.

I was thinking for next year this:
You get a W for your h2h win. If you're in the top half of the most points scored, you also get another W. If you're in the bottom half, you go don't. So a team could either go 2-0, 1-1. or 0-2 in one week. Tally up the W/L that way and maybe have the tiebreaker via points.

note: every fantasy football league I've ever been in has been done via h2h. Last year we did two week rounds for playoffs because I had 10 teams. This year we have 12 and went one week rather the two and have top teams have byes. I also went to week 17 because I'm an idiot.

    Thoughts?
