I'm sort of on the edge of my chair, waiting to see how Colin Hanks' character gets back into the middle of this.

All the while enjoying the hell out of Key & Peele.

That was fantastic. Can't wait to see what the last hour has in store.

Thornton will get the most accolades, and he deserves them, but all of the main actors have been quite good. Freeman is one of my favorite actors around at this point. His work in this season's Sherlock might be the best by anyone in the past year.

"No one puts up the sad pictures." Just an amazing scene.

Also, I enjoyed Stephen Root's use of "friendo" a la Anton Chigur.

He wouldn't. It's inconsistent with his character. It's a flaw.

It is consistent though. He sacrificed the payday just to fuck with the Greek grocer and the trainer. He'll drop whatever he's doing if he sees an opportunity to create chaos.

When he told the new owner of Lester's house about the murders with his kids standing there was just pure evil.

My take on Malvo is that he's evil incarnate, especially with him saying something along the lines of "I haven't had a piece of pie like that since the Garden of Eden" at the end of the coffee shop scene. I view him similarly to the old gods in Gaiman's American Gods, walking the Earth in human form.

Enjoyed the tension. But why wouldn't Malvo have simply shot Lester in the elevator -- rather than traveling back to MN to track him down and kill him?

I think he probably had other plans with him --- including helping with the bodies --- but Lester hit him in the head and got away.

This isn't consistent with any human beings. It's an enormous waste of time.

It is consistent with a show where the characters are ciphers for TV writers who are in the mood to tell viewers how evil the world is.

It's a pretty good show, I just find it nasty/ridiculous to the point of pretension. In one episode, we get a boys choir singing Latin over a shootout scene in the middle of a snowstorm? Come on.

Excellent finale. Tied up all the loose ends. Won't say any more for fear of spoilers.
